Solar Assessment for Rural Properties

Is your solar system a question mark or an asset?

Existing off-grid solar systems in rural properties could be assets or liabilities. The only way to know is to evaluate them properly through a hands-on technical assessment.

Our solar assessment service covers all the bases and addresses what matters — how the energy infrastructure affects a property’s viability and livability, tailored to your requirements and use case.

You’ll get a comprehensive report documenting detailed findings that you can use as a negotiation tool, disclosure asset, or system improvement roadmap.

Who is this for?

🏡 Buyers performing due diligence on a rural property with an existing solar system and trying to negotiate a fair deal by knowing exactly what they're buying.

🏷️ Sellers setting the stage for success — a proactive assessment provides concrete evidence to support the asking price and remove uncertainties that stall a deal.

🤝 Real estate agents and brokers seeking a credible third-party evaluation for the disclosure packet to protect their clients’ interests and their reputation.

🏗️ Builders and developers planning rural residential or commercial projects who need to understand how the energy infrastructure impacts viability and ROI.

Current property owners experiencing performance issues, planning an upgrade, or preparing for a future sale and seeking a high-impact enhancement roadmap.

What we examine

We tailor the assessment to your system, property, requirements, and plans. Here’s what we typically cover:

Solar panel condition and output. Panels that look fine don’t mean they meet specs. We perform physical inspection and electrical measurements, including open-circuit voltage, string balance, and actual power delivery under real-site conditions.

Battery bank health. Batteries are the most time-sensitive asset and degrade over time. Keeping a few lights on isn’t the same as jolting a well pump into action. We measure actual usable capacity and evaluate whether they can support your use case.

Inverter capacity and condition. Older inverters may pass the lightbulb test but struggle under real-world loads, such as fridges and A/C. We check fault logs, thermal performance, physical wear, and whether the inverter is sized for modern living.

Wiring and safety. DIY wiring, mismatched breakers, missing ground, missing ferrules, and improvised fixes can pose safety hazards and liabilities. We help you prioritize critical issues and recommend a phased approach, if applicable.

Load match. A well-maintained, fully functional system may still not be right for the buyer's actual usage. We compare the system's real capacity against the intended use, flag gaps, and provide an upgrade roadmap to build a fit-for-purpose system.

What you get

After our assessment, you’ll receive a written report with our findings and practical recommendations. It’s specific enough to use in a negotiation, while clear enough that you don't need an engineering degree to read it.

The report is yours to use however it makes sense: attach it to a disclosure packet, request a price credit, require remediation as a closing condition, make an informed decision about whether to proceed with a deal, or plan necessary improvements.
